Powai Run 2025 

The 14th Powai Run, held on January 5 at Downtown Powai drew over 10,000 participants. This Powai Run also featured the second edition of the ‘I Run for IIT-B’ initiative. 1,000 students and alumni from IIT Bombay participated.  Flagged off by Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla, Dean of Student Affairs, IIT-B, the initiative strengthened the ties between the prestigious institution and the Powai community.

The 2024 Diwali celebrations at Brookfield Properties were a spectacular blend of tradition, creativity and community spirit. This year’s theme, ‘The Palette of Indian Arts’, transformed our business parks into canvases of light, color, and culture. Themed decorations, featuring intricate rangolis, glowing diyas and art installations, set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Diwali 2024

The 2024 Diwali celebrations at Brookfield Properties were a spectacular blend of tradition, creativity and community spirit. This year’s theme, ‘The Palette of Indian Arts’, transformed our business parks into canvases of light, color, and culture. Themed decorations, featuring intricate rangolis, glowing diyas and art installations, set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Over five days, the event welcomed more than 10,000 participants, immersing tenants and visitors in the joyous spirit of Diwali.
The celebration delighted attendees with an array of entertainment, from soulful folk dances and electrifying dhol performances to a breathtaking laser show that lit up the night. Interactive zones added a hands-on dimension, inviting tenants to create their own rangoli patterns and make traditional diyas. Social media platforms buzzed with activity as attendees shared their experiences through the hashtag #BPDiwaliFusion. The Diwali celebration was our way of honoring tradition while demonstrating that tenant happiness and engagement are at the core of everything we do. Events like these foster an environment where tenants can connect, thrive and genuinely enjoy their workplace experience.

The Pride Celebration at Downtown Powai commenced with over 350 participants coming together to honor diversity, inclusion, and self-expression. 🏳️‍

With the generous support of esteemed tenants such as TIAA, Nomura, HDFC Life Securities, M&G Global, and others, the event was a resounding success. A dynamic flash mob energized the gathering, while the Paint Your Posters session transformed the campus into a vibrant showcase of artistic expression. 

A key highlight of the celebration was the inspiring oath-taking ceremony led by the Pride Circle team, reaffirming our collective commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment. Additionally, outstanding artistic contributions were recognized with special awards.

Celebrating World Environment Day at Downtown Powai, Mumbai

Downtown Powai marked Environment Day with impactful initiatives promoting sustainability and community engagement. The celebrations featured the plantation of a Miyawaki Forest, where 1,300+ trees were planted to enhance urban biodiversity. An interactive knowledge session with Dr. Mala Singh educated participants on sustainable practices, while an ESG Tour showcased green initiatives like rooftop gardens, hydroponics, and waste management. The event concluded with a lively Green Expo Carnival, bringing together tenants and the community to explore eco-friendly products and solutions.

Futsal Premier League Kolkata

An incredible showcase of true sportsmanship and camaraderie at our recently concluded Futsal Premier League, an inter-tenant tournament held at Candor TechSpace, Rajarhat, Kolkata. With 32 teams, 55 matches, and over 350 players, the FPL provided a platform for exciting futsal action, showcasing impressive goals, dribbles, and teamwork. TCS Blue won the tournament in a thrilling final match against Cognizant Falcons. Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, Seamless, CodeClouds, Concentrix, and Brookfield Properties showcased their passion for sports and made this tournament a success. Here is to the power of sports in bringing people together and fostering collaboration among them.

Inali Foundation Camp

Making a positive contribution to the communities where we operate is fundamental to our way of doing business. In August 2022, we were a part of a larger drive wherein we had partnered with Inali Foundation, an organization that provides affordable prosthetic limbs to people in India. Over 100 prosthetic hands were rehabilitated. Coming together and contributing towards this noble cause, there were camps held across our campuses in Gurugram, Noida and Mumbai to help people with upper limb disabilities.

DIY Workshop

This one-day experience zone was designed to engage our tenants. Participants had the opportunity to partake in a theme-based DIY workshop that featured three distinct activities. These activities included a mobile photography session led by Mr. Naveen Saxena, a fashion styling session conducted by Ms. Arushi Oswal, and an entertaining caricature art session by Mr. Manoj Sinha, an accomplished artist and cartoonist. The event was attended by over 100 individuals actively participating and enjoying the unique and enriching experiences offered, reflecting our commitment to creating memorable moments for our community.

VR Verse

We embarked on an exciting journey into futuristic entertainment with the launch of the VR Verse engagement zone. This innovative event offered a virtual gaming experience for our tenants and employees. The inauguration of the VR Verse zone was graced by Mr. Girish Kumar, VP, Property Services at NatWest Group. Inside this immersive space, participants had the opportunity to dive into a world of AI-powered games. Among the highlights were the VR Boxing Ring, fostering healthy competition, and VR Walk the Board, which defied gravity to provide an exhilarating walking experience. The VR Rollercoaster with its gravity-defying twists was an exhilarating experience. This unique experiential event drew participation of over 250 individuals, strengthening our commitment to providing innovative technology-driven experiences for our tenant employees.

Yoga and Zumba Sessions

As part of our routine tenant engagement efforts, we conducted a month-long program offering complimentary Yoga and Zumba sessions for tenant employees. These sessions were led by experienced instructors. They were conveniently scheduled in both morning and evening slots, making them accessible to all tenants and employees at our Gurugram and Noida campuses. This initiative garnered an enthusiastic response, with more than 800 individuals participating and taking a significant step toward embracing a healthier lifestyle.

RICS Faculty and Student Visit

The event was about the visit of an international group of students from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and faculty from the University of New Castle, Australia to Candor TechSpace, Sector 135, Noida on 20th June, for a camp on “Sustainable Built Environment Practices in India”. This was a 60-minute site tour followed by a 30-minute presentation to showcase the “Sustainable Built Environment Practices” followed at Brookfield Properties. The site visit emphasized sustainable practices implemented during design, construction, and operation.

We organized screenings for four matches at each of our campuses, attracting thousands of tenants who gathered to enjoy the matches on expansive LED screens. This initiative provided them with a valuable opportunity to relax and collectively support their favourite teams. The screening venues were filled with the fervour that cricket uniquely inspires in India. Additionally, we introduced the Cricket Mania 2023 contest, allowing participants to make predictions online and win exciting prizes. We awarded 4 Royal Enfield motorcycles and 55 smartphones as grand prizes to winners from across India.

This year, we held our first annual Pride March, to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community. With over 2300+ registrations and 1500+ participants across five cities walking along, it was a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and equality in their beautiful forms. We painted the campuses with the vibrant colors of pride, accompanied by the tunes of the jukebox and the uplifting beats of the brass band. The march challenged prejudices, and served as a reminder that every person deserves respect, dignity and equal treatment. To ensure the event generates long-term societal change, we announced an innovative initiative in collaboration with the Pride Circle Foundation: PrideED aims to provide opportunities for students to work on projects that promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion in society. The fellowship program has already attracted talented students, and we plan to make significant investments to support their efforts. We believe that creating an inclusive and supportive culture is essential, not just on our campuses but also in society at large. This initiative represents our commitment to fostering an environment where all can truly thrive, with equal respect and opportunities at their workplace.

Powai Kids Carnival

Brookfield Properties collaborated with the Powai Kids Carnival to host an enjoyable evening in Downtown Powai. This two-day event at One Central Avenue, Downtown Powai, Mumbai, featured diverse experiences suitable for all ages, including thrilling rides, delightful food stalls, and heartwarming performances by specially-abled children. Shoppers of all age groups enjoyed a variety of stalls, creating a fantastic shopping experience. Various food and beverage outlets were also available, ensuring a flavorful culinary journey.

Volunteering Activity around Water Body

Brookfield Properties organized a cleanup program with employees to promote a culture of sustainability. As part of our #EarthDay2023 initiative, we hosted "Picnic By The Pond," an event focused on environmental conservation and community engagement. Participants cleaned the pond, planted saplings, and restored degraded land for soil and moisture conservation. The day ended with refreshments to celebrate our hard work. Sustainability is a top priority at Brookfield Properties, with green initiatives aimed at optimizing natural resources and enhancing community wellbeing. On Earth Day, we successfully engaged and inspired over 1000 tenants nationwide, demonstrating our commitment to a sustainable future and the positive impact of collective effort.

Amenity Block Launch 

At Brookfield Properties, work never feels routine. Our exceptional amenities match the quality of our spaces. On April 12, 2023, we inaugurated a new amenity block at Candor TechSpace in Kolkata, featuring a food court, gym, and pool. These amenities prioritize tenant health and wellbeing, creating a vibrant environment. We celebrated with a sundowner event featuring diya lighting, a band, and a cocktail dinner, engaging in meaningful conversations with our most valuable asset - our tenants.

Ploggers Drive

Running is good for your health. Picking up litter is good for the planet’s health. Why not combine the two? That is the idea behind ‘plogging’, a fitness trend where people (or ‘ploggers’) pick up litter while jogging. Plogging not only helps make the Earth cleaner, but also benefits our own health.To promote fitness and cleanliness among urban millennials, Candor TechSpace joined hands with Ploggers of India to organise a ‘plogging’ drive at its campuses in Gurugram and Noida. The idea was to encourage participants to pick up the litter (especially plastic waste) when jogging, as part of their regular routine.
The event kicked off with a briefing about the plan for the day and a light, warm-up activity for 15 minutes. This was followed by a plogging drive for 30-40 minutes which saw 100 participants plogging over an approximately 3-km stretch around each campus and collecting 30-40 bags of litter. The drive culminated with an insightful discussion on the impact of plastic on the environment and ways to avoid the use of single-use plastic. It also empowered them to engage with the community by letting them raise awareness through interactive dialogues.

Central Courtyard Inauguration

The newly designed central courtyard offers a unique work environment which makes the daily routine feel anything but ordinary. Mr. Bikram Ajjan, General Manager, India, Aristocrat and the entire team were present to inaugurate this self-sustaining habitat. Featuring a central Bonsai, mosaic art, wooden decks, and interactive open spaces, this courtyard is set to breathe life into our campus. It is a hub for our tenants and employees, providing a space to connect, create, and collaborate.

Brookfield Properties and the Rotary Club of Mumbai Lakers joined forces for the second consecutive year to host the highly anticipated 12th edition of Powai Run. This community marathon stood as a powerful platform, dedicated to championing diversity, inclusivity, and equality under the inspiring theme of #EmbraceEquity. The event featured mesmerizing dance performances, soulful fusion and folk music, lively emcee engagement and a delightful array of food stalls with a bustling flea market. Together, these elements transformed our campuses into cultural hubs, fostering unity and cultural inclusivity. As we reflect on these celebrations, we are reminded of the power of festive events to bring people together, further reinforcing our commitment to cultivating a dynamic and diverse workplace environment.

Champions League 2023

The Cricket Champions League 2023, hosted at Candor TechSpace in Newtown, Kolkata, from February 4 to 5, was an exciting event for our partners JLL, Knight Frank, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers and Brookfield Properties. The tournament featured six teams with a total of 48 players, divided into two groups for league matches, followed by semi-finals and the final.

Knight Frank emerged as the champions of the tournament, showcasing phenomenal performance throughout. The matches were highly competitive, with close finishes, making for a thrilling two days of cricket action. It provided an excellent platform for the participating companies to Connect, Create, and Collaborate while enjoying a great game of cricket.

Euphoria 2023, a spectacular event held during the month of January 2023, marked a remarkable celebration that resonated across our North and East campuses. This event brought together a diverse community to share in the festive spirit and to support the #TreesofHope2023 initiative, to make it a better world, together. On Jan 13, 2023 we welcomed RXO at our Downtown Powai campus. The welcome event was attended by 200+ employees of RXO and thier Sr leadership from USA. Trees of Hope

Brookfield Properties partnered with Smile Foundation, a Mumbai-based non-profit organization, to launch the ‘Trees of Hope’ 2023 initiative to support child education. As a part of the initiative, ‘Trees of Hope’ were installed in 14 campuses across eight cities. These installations became center points to connect, collaborate, and drive meaningful conversations. For every ten posts uploaded on social media with the hashtag TreesofHope2023, Brookfield Properties pledged to sponsor a child's education. The cause brought our employees, tenant network, and community members together.

Throughout his career, Amit Jain has held various senior positions at organizations like Global Infrastructure Partners, IDFC, EY, Macquarie, and Discovery Channel.

Mr. Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (Hons.) from Delhi University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Saurabh Jain is the Company Secretary of the Manager and Compliance Officer at Brookfield India REIT. He has over 19 years of experience in corporate law, securities law, merger amalgamation, acquisition, fundraising, etc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Punjab University and a bachelor’s degree in law from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. He is a qualified Company Secretary. Prior to joining the Manager, he worked with Lumax Industries Limited, Escorts Limited and GMR Group – Delhi International Airport Limited and GMR Airports Limited in the capacity of Company Secretary.
